Chan Ka Ming's expertise is in cinema and popular culture, animal and ecological humanities, and globalization and urban studies. He teaches subjects in various areas: Introduction to cultural studies/ cultural theories, Celebrity and popular culture, Film history, aesthetics and politics, Globalization and cultural production and representation, animal and society, and modernity and urbanscape; and his researching areas are about Hong Kong cinema co-production, Asian film, global cinema, popular culture, animal and modernity, and urban development.

 

Embracing the philosophy about love to teaching and learning, Chan Ka Ming is recently exploring the study of nature and animal with cultural studies perspectives. Through cultural studies of ecology and humanity, he looks forward to touching the importance of life.
