何瑳纪念奖学金

 

The Scholarship

The Ho Chor Memorial Scholarship has been generously donated by Mr Ho Wing Him Laurence in commemoration of his late father Mr Ho Chor. It aims to provide financial support to Mainland Chinese students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.

 

Amount of Scholarship

Each awardee will receive a lump sum of HK$10,000. A maximum of four scholarships will be awarded each year.

 

Eligibility

  • Applicants should be full-time Mainland Chinese students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies;
  • Applicants must be newly-admitted students to the Programme and spend at least ONE academic year in Hong Kong to complete the degree;
  • The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merits.  

圣芳济奖学金

 

The Scholarship

The Alumni of St. Francis Xaiver’s School, Tsuen Wan, Hong Kong have generously donated a scholarship to The Chinese University of Hong Kong since the academic year 2012/13. The regulations governing the award of the scholarship are detailed below:

 

Amount of Scholarship

There will be a maximum of two awards of HK$10,000 each per annum. One of the awards will be offered to a student with an outstanding performance in the studies of Christianity.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible, the candidates must

  • be registered postgraduate students studying the MA Programme in Religious Studies; and
  • be in their first year of study for full-time students or second year of study for part-time students.

 

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit.

 

For the ‘Award for Outstanding Performance in Christianity’, the candidate must have taken at least one course in Christianity and submitted a term paper related to Christianity.

梁润添纪念奖学金

 

The Scholarship

The Leung Yun Tim Memorial Scholarship has been generously donated by our alumni Mr. Leung Lee Chung. It aims to award the top students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.

 

Amount of Scholarship

Three scholarships will be awarded each year. The best student will receive HK$15,000, the second best HK$13,000 and the third best HK$11,000.

 

Eligibility

  • Awardees should be registered students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies;
  • The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of the academic merits (Overall GPA results).

信善恩惠慈善基金奖学金

 

The Scholarship

The Scholarship has been generously donated by ‘Shun Shin Kindness Foundation’. It aims to provide financial support to students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies. And the students should be interested in Taoism. The regulations governing the award of the scholarship are detailed below:

 

Amount of Scholarship

There will be a maximum of four awards of HK$10,000 each per annum. 

 

Eligibility

  • To be eligible, the candidates must be registered postgraduate students studying the MA Programme in Religious Studies;

  • take at least one course in Taoism;
  • The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need and academic merit.

 

Application Procedures

  1. The scholarship will be open for application.  The applicants will submit their completed application form with one term paper related to Taoism to the Department of Cultural and Religious Studies by the application deadline.  Late or incomplete applications will not be processed by the Department.
  2. The Department will shortlist candidates among the application received for an interview.

谭苏、黄坤仪纪念奖学金

 

The Scholarship

The TAM So and VONG Kuan I Memorial Scholarship has been generously donated by our alumni Mr. TAM Lok Wu Francis in commemoration of his late parents Mr. TAM So and Mrs. VONG Kuan I. It aims to award the top students in Buddhism studies of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.

 

Amount of Scholarship

Each awardee will receive a lump sum of HK$10,000. A maximum of three scholarships will be awarded each year.

 

Eligibility

l   Awardees should be registered students of the MA Programme in Religious Studies.

l   The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merits (overall GPA result in Buddhism studies).
