关于 傅健士教授

James D. Frankel，出生及成长於美国纽约，於哥伦比亚大学获得东亚语言与文化系学士学位，及宗教系硕士及博士学位。Frankel教授主要研究范围包括中国伊斯兰教的历史，学术兴趣强调思想历史与宗教和文化合一。他的博士论文考察晚明（1368-1644）清初（1644-1911）中国伊斯兰学术文学，特别考查中国穆斯林文人刘智（约1660-约1730）之著作。 Frankel教授的第一本著作，Rectifying God's Name: Liu Zhi's Confucian Translation of Monotheism and Islamic Law（University of Hawaii Press, 2011），阐述了同一主题。他曾於中国居住，并经常到亚洲和欧洲旅游，认识不少学者和穆斯林少数族群宗教领袖。Frankel教授任教并研究伊斯兰教，比较宗教学，中国哲学与宗教，宗教原教旨主义及神秘主义。
