Candidates for admission to the programmes should meet all qualification criteria of the University Graduate School (Please refer to the latest Postgraduate Prospectus). All applicants should submit a research proposal (Guidelines to the Preparation of Research Proposal). Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed as part of the admission process. Academic qualifications, research ability, work experience, references and language abilities will be taken into consideration.

After submitting an online application, applicants are required to upload scanned copies of the following supporting documents to the Online Application System for Postgraduate Programmes by the deadline.

**Applicants who obtained degrees from universities in Mainland China are required to provide a valid Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate (教育部學歷證書電子註冊備案表) and a valid Online Verification Report of Higher Education Degree Certificate (中國高等教育學位線上驗證報告) issued by the CHESICC (學信網) together with other supporting documents. Please refer to the official website of the CHESICC on the sample of the Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate at https://www.chsi.com.cn/xlcx/bgys.jsp.

For M.Phil. programmes, the normative period of study is 24 months for full-time students and 36 months for part-time students. The academic year consists of two terms, starting from September and ending in August of the following year. For PhD programmes, please see the list below. A continuation fee will be charged on those students exceeding the normative period of study.
